Dr Joana Garcez Bio

Dr. Joana Garcez is an accomplished dental professional with a distinguished academic and clinical background in Aesthetic Dentistry. She earned her degree in Dental Medicine from the Higher Institute of Health Sciences of the North (ISCS-Norte), where she later completed a postgraduate program in Aesthetic Dentistry. Her academic journey continued with a PhD in Odontostomatology from the prestigious University of Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

Deeply committed to dental education, Dr. Garcez currently serves as the Pedagogical Coordinator of the Postgraduate Course in Adhesive Dentistry at the University Institute of Health Sciences (IUCS). She is visiting Professor at the Postgraduate Course in Aesthetic Dentistry, University of Barcelona, Spain.

Dr. Garcez has delivered numerous lectures and led courses at both national and international levels, sharing her expertise in Aesthetic and Adhesive Dentistry. She has been recognized for her contributions to the field, receiving the title of “Figure of the Year” in Dentistry at the Oral Health Awards in both 2016 and 2019.

As an Ivoclar Vivadent Opinion Lecturer, Dr. Garcez collaborates with industry leaders to advance innovative dental techniques and materials. Her clinical practice is fully dedicated to Aesthetic Dentistry, where she combines scientific rigor with artistic vision to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
