Using the website

Our website uses cookies* to store account details and your meeting preferences. By using our website you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with the terms of our privacy policy.

All registered users have the right to comment on public forums and news posts. The Society reserves the right to delete any comments which are deemed inappropriate based on accepted social media codes of conduct.

Registration and accounts

To be eligible for an individual account on our website you must be either a registered dentist, retired dentist, final year dental student, member of the dental team or employed in the wider dental industry.

You can register for an account with our website by completing and submitting the account registration form on the register page.

In the event of unauthorised use of your account we recommend that you contact us. You can also request a new password or request the deletion of your account so that you can set up a new one.

User IDs and passwords

If you register for an account with our website you will be asked to generate a user ID (we recommend your email address) and password.

You must keep your password confidential. You can re-set your password by visiting the My Account page.

You are responsible for any activity on our website which arises from your failure to keep your password confidential. Bookings and payments not made by you during this time may not be refunded.

Cancellation and suspension of accounts

We reserve the right to suspend or cancel an account at any time in the event of unauthorised use.

The accounts of final year dental students will be suspended following the last meeting of the season in March. These members will then be able to join the Society as full members the following season.

You may cancel your  website account at any time. Please contact support@glasgowodonto.org and we will remove you from our list.

Membership payments

Payments for dentist and retired memberships are taken when you register for our website and renewed annually. Final year student membership details are logged and you will receive a notification of your place.

Members can upgrade or cancel their membership at any time. However if you have paid your subscription for the year this is non-refundable.

Privacy Policy

We undertake not to share our users’ details with any third parties unless we have sought your prior agreement.

Members are granted access to restricted areas of the website. If it is found that members have misused this right or shared private information with outside parties then the Society reserves the right to suspend their membership.
